Breast Reconstruction at the Yorkshire Breast Clinic
This short animated video below demonstrates how, after a skin sparing mastectomy, with removal of the nipple, a reconstruction is performed by lifting up the chest wall ( Pectoralis Major ) muscle, and implant can be placed and cover with support by Strattice (ADM) in the lower pole .
Only a breast or plastic surgeon who has trained in specific breast reconstruction techniques should perform this kind of surgery.
Mr Linforth is a National trainer for the Association of Breast Surgeons and British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (ABS/BAPRAS).
Mr Linforth is an Internationally regarded expert in Implant based reconstruction using Accellular dermal Matrix (ADM) and has pioneered this technique with Acellity formally Lifecell who manufacture Strattice.
He has performed this procedure on over 300 patients and presented his
work at International Breast Reconstruction meetings in Rome, Berlin, Manchester,Madrid, Arhus ( Denmark) and Amsterdam.
